    Gov. Polis Signs East Fork Fire Executive Order

    DENVER - Governor Jared Polis today signed an Executive Order memorializing a verbal disaster declaration from August 28, 2020, for the East Fork Fire in Las Animas County. The Executive Order enables State agencies to coordinate and makes resources available for fire suppression, response, consequence management, and recovery efforts.

    Governor, Lt. Governor, Behavioral Health Task Force release blueprint

    DENVER - Today Governor Polis, Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera and the Colorado Behavioral Health Task Force (BHTF) released Behavioral Health in Colorado: Putting People First, a blueprint to reform the state’s behavioral health system. The BHTF, initiated by the Governor and led by the Colorado Department of Human Services, met for more than a year, engaging with communities across the state, to create a blueprint to make substance use and mental health services more accessible and affordable across the state.

    Gov. Polis Announces 2020 Colorado Governor’s Citizenship Medals

    DENVER — Governor Jared Polis today announced the recipients of the 2020 Colorado Governor’s Citizenship Medals. an annual award stewarded by CiviCO on behalf of the sitting Governor of Colorado to recognize top community leaders from around the state. The 2020 recipients will be honored during a private ceremony in November with the Governor to comply with current Covid-19 guidelines regarding large gatherings.
