    Governor Jared Polis Signs Bills Into Law to Help Students Succeed, Support Local Response for Wildfires

    DENVER — Today, Governor Jared Polis signed five bills into law today in a signing ceremony to prepare our students for early childhood success, address pay equity across the state workforce, and support local emergency response to wildfires like the Marshall Fire disaster. Governor Polis also signed supplemental legislation administratively in funding increases for the departments of education and higher education, corrections, judicial, natural resources, and personnel.

    Economic Development: Polis Administration Announces Eight New Recipients of Community Revitalization Grant

    DENVER — The Polis administration announced that the Colorado Creative Industries (CCI) office of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) will distribute the latest eight recipients of the Community Revitalization Grant program, including projects ranging from San Miguel to Routt to Larimer counties. The Community Revitalization Grant program has awarded a total of $64.9 million to 34 projects.

    In Solidarity with Ukraine, Governor Polis Announces Capitol to be Illuminated with Blue and Yellow Lights

    DENVER  — Today, Governor Jared Polis announced that the West side of the State Capitol will be illuminated in blue and yellow, the colors of the Ukrainian flag, starting at sundown today. This is the most recent of a series of steps the Polis Administration has taken in solidarity with the people of free and independent Ukraine, and to penalize the Russian government, following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

    Governor Polis tells the State Dept. that Colorado will Welcome Ukrainian Refugees, Writes to Ukrainian, Russian Embassies and Consulates, Treasurer Young & Colorado PERA

    DENVER -  This week, Governor Jared Polis signed an Executive Order on new state actions in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Today, Governor Polis wrote to Secretary Antony J. Blinken of the US Department of State to inform the federal government that Colorado is ready to welcome refugees and is prepared to provide support to Ukrainians. Today, Governor Polis also wrote to the Ukrainian Embassy and Consulate, the Russian Embassy and Consulate,  Colorado Treasurer Dave Young, and Colorado PERA.

    Gov. Polis Signs Bill Into Law

    DENVER — Today, Governor Jared Polis signed a bipartisan bill updating boards and commissions statutes to include an 8th Congressional District. Following the most recent reapportionment and addition of an 8th Congressional seat, this good governance bill accounts for the addition of the 8th Congressional District where applicable, and cleans up language within statutes to make it easier to understand the intent of the law and the requirements for service of Colorado’s boards and commissions.

    Polis Administration Continues Support for Survivors of the Marshall Fire Disaster: Benefit Concert with AEG, Community Foundation Boulder County

    DENVER — Governor Jared Polis, in partnership with AEG and Community Foundation of Boulder County, is hosting a virtual benefit concert to support disaster survivors of the Marshall Fire. The pre-recorded concert will go live on February 28 at 7pm MT, when virtual concertgoers will be able to hear some of Colorado's and the country's most talented musical artists, with the cost of their ticket going directly to helping Marshall Fire survivors through the Community Foundation of Boulder County’s website.
