DENVER - Yesterday, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced they are pursuing a Safe Importation Action Plan which outlines the steps the FDA and Health and Human Services will take to permit the importation of prescription drugs into the United States.

DENVER - Today, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) notified the Colorado Division of Insurance (DOI) that Colorado's application for a 1332 waiver to establish a reinsurance program was approved. The DOI, part of the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), submitted the application on May 20.

DENVER — Gov. Jared Polis today announced the appointment of Jessica L. Curtis as a District Court Judge in the 4th Judicial District to fill a position created by Senate Bill 19-043. He also announced the appointment of Chelsea W. Rengel as a Jackson County Court Judge in the 8th Judicial District to fill a vacancy occasioned by the retirement of the Honorable Cindy L. Wilson.

DENVER - Today, the Colorado Division of Insurance (DOI), part of the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), announced that for the first time ever, Colorado health insurance companies that sell individual plans (for people who do not get their health insurance from an employer or government program) expect to reduce premiums by an average of 18.2 percent (-18.2%) over their 2019 premiums, provided the reinsurance program is approved by the federal government. These are the health insurance plans available on the Connect for Health Insurance Exchange, the state’s health exchange made possible by the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
