    Governor Polis Statement on FDA Advisory Committee Vote on COVID-19 Booster Shot

    DENVER - Governor Jared Polis released a statement following a vote by the Advisory Committee U.S. to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on the COVID-19 booster. The Advisory Committee to the FDA voted in favor of providing a booster shot of the safe and effective Pfizer vaccine for people age 65 and up and for high-risk individuals. Committee members also took an advisory vote and unanimously voted to support the administration of a booster for “healthcare workers and others at high risk for occupational exposure.”

    Polis Administration Secures Federal Funding for Small Businesses Impacted by Glenwood Canyon Mudslides

    DENVER - Governor Polis, the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, and the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness announced that the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has responded to the request made by Governor Polis and awarded a disaster declaration in Garfield, Eagle, Mesa, Pitkin, Rio Blanco, and Routt counties as a result of flooding, mudslides, rockslides and associated closures of Glenwood Canyon. Businesses in these counties are eligible to apply for loans through the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program to offset the cost of this disaster on their business.

    Governor Polis Statement on BLM Decision to Keep and Grow Western Headquarters in Colorado

    GRAND JUNCTION - Colorado Governor Jared Polis released a statement on Interior Secretary Deb Haaland and the Biden administration’s decision to keep and grow the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) headquarters in Grand Junction as one of two official headquarters, while also maintaining a headquarters in Washington, D.C. for select leadership staff and to provide clarity to existing staff. Governor Polis has advocated for the BLM to remain in Colorado and urged President Biden to keep and expand that headquarters.

    BOULDER - This afternoon, Governor Jared Polis and First Gentleman Marlon Reis were wed in a traditional Jewish ceremony surrounded by close family and friends. 

    The Governor and First Gentleman have been together for eighteen years and have been engaged since December 2020. They are the proud parents of two children, ages 7 and 9.
