    Governor Polis Statement on “America the Beautiful” Report and Initiative

    DENVER - Today Governor Polis provided a statement in response to the Biden Administration’s release of the “America the Beautiful” report and initiative, fulfilling a directive included in President Biden’s Executive Order 14008. That order included an ambitious conservation goal that has been generally termed ‘thirty by thirty’. This concept is derived from analyses suggesting the need to conserve thirty percent of natural lands by 2030 to avoid major ecosystem and society-wide impacts associated with the loss of natural ecosystems and impacts from climate change.

    Gov. Polis Celebrates Landmark Milestone of 2 Million Coloradans Fully Vaccinated

    DENVER - Governor Jared Polis today announced that Colorado has passed a significant benchmark with more than two million Coloradans now fully vaccinated, this includes Coloradans who have received the Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines. Currently, 2,674,623 people have received one dose, and 2,037,137 Coloradans are fully vaccinated. Fully vaccinated means 15 days after receiving the second Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or 15 days after receiving the “one and done” Jansen/Johnson and Johnson vaccine. There are currently 4.7 million Coloradans, those 16 and older, who are eligible to receive the vaccine.

    Square Comp Selects Colorado for its US Headquarters

    DENVER -- Square Comp, an early-stage, Indian technology company, has announced Fort Collins, Colorado as the home of its new US headquarters. They first became acquainted with Colorado during Governor Polis’s trade mission to India in November 2019.

    Colorado Parks and Wildlife expands 'Public Access Program'

    GRAND JUNCTION – At its meeting in Grand Junction on May 5, the Colorado Parks & Wildlife Commission unanimously approved the enrollment of 199,000 acres into the Public Access Program for the fall 2021 hunting season, bringing the program to a total of 973,000 acres. This expansion fulfills Governor Polis' 2019 “Wildly Important Goal” to double the amount of publicly accessible trust land enrolled in the PAP: from 478,000 (2018) to 973,000 acres (2021).
