DENVER - Today, Governor Polis held a mid-legislative session press avail where he was joined by Canadian Consul General Sylvain Fabi, to announce that March 15th, 2025 will be proclaimed Colorado Canada Friendship Day, a day to honor and celebrate the important relationship between Colorado and Canada, the state’s largest trading partner alongside Mexico.

DENVER - The U.S. Department of Agriculture has canceled over $13.1 million in funding for Colorado initiatives that help schools and food banks purchase food from local farms, hurting Colorado kids, families and farmers.

DENVER - Today, as acting Governor, Lt. Governor Primavera signed HB25-1030 - Accessibility Standards in Building Codes, sponsored by Representatives Junie Joseph and Rebekah Stewart and Senators Lisa Cutter and Faith Winter, into law during a ceremony. The bill requires a local government that adopts or amends a building code to ensure that the building code meets or exceeds the accessibility standards in international building codes. 

New York City – Governor Kathy Hochul welcomed National Governors Association (NGA) Chair Colorado Governor Jared Polis for the latest in a series of bipartisan events in support of his NGA Chair’s Initiative, Let’s Get Ready: Educating All Americans for Success. Education Secretary Linda McMahon joined the discussion; other participants included American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten; Geoffrey Canada - President and co-founder, Harlem Children’s Zone; and other education experts.
