    Governor Polis Announces Saturday, March 15th as Colorado Canada Friendship Day

    Canada is Colorado’s largest trading partner and the second largest market for international travelers visiting Colorado 

    DENVER - Today, Governor Polis held a mid-legislative session press avail where he was joined by Canadian Consul General Sylvain Fabi, to announce that March 15th, 2025 will be proclaimed Colorado Canada Friendship Day, a day to honor and celebrate the important relationship between Colorado and Canada, the state’s largest trading partner alongside Mexico.

    Lt. Governor Primavera Signs Bill into Law Expanding Accessibility in Colorado Buildings

    DENVER - Today, as acting Governor, Lt. Governor Primavera signed HB25-1030 - Accessibility Standards in Building Codes, sponsored by Representatives Junie Joseph and Rebekah Stewart and Senators Lisa Cutter and Faith Winter, into law during a ceremony. The bill requires a local government that adopts or amends a building code to ensure that the building code meets or exceeds the accessibility standards in international building codes.

    Governor Polis Celebrates International Women’s Day

    GLENDALE - Today, Governor Polis and WorldDenver celebrated International Women's Day, and presented Maria Garcia Berry with the Individual Award for International Women’s Day.

I am honored to recognize my friend Maria Garcia Berry, a woman who has been a driving force in our state, by expanding leadership opportunities and global connections for women in Colorado,” said Governor Polis.
