Governor Polis, USDOT Deputy Secretary Trottenberg, CDOT and Local Agencies Celebrate Opening of I-25 Mobility Hubs

LOVELAND — Today, Governor Jared Polis, U.S. Department of Transportation Deputy Secretary Polly Trottenberg, Colorado Department of Transportation Executive Director Shoshana Lew, and local partners celebrated the opening of three new mobility hubs along Interstate 25, between Longmont and Loveland. These new mobility hubs enhance transportation options along the busy I-25 corridor by connecting Coloradans and communities, reducing traffic and congestion, and protecting our air.

Governor Polis Celebrates Colorado’s Leadership in Education With Visits to Poudre Valley High School and National Blue Ribbon School in Fort Collins

NORTHERN COLORADO - Today, Governor Polis made visits across Northern Colorado to celebrate Colorado’s leadership in education. This morning, the Governor visited Poudre High School for their Ninth Grade Success Showcase. Poudre received a Colorado Ninth Grade Success Grant to help increase the number of 9th grade students with the skills needed to successfully reach 10th grade on-track and on-time. To date , the school has seen a 13% increase in students who are on track.

Polis Administration Announces Three New IHIP Grant Recipients Supporting Creation of Over 480 Housing Units

DENVER – Today, Governor Polis and the Business Funding & Incentives division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) announced three new recipients of the Innovative Housing Incentive Program (IHIP) grant. This transformational grant continues the Polis Administration’s work to increase the supply of housing across Colorado. The funding announced today will directly incentivize the creation of over 480 attainable housing units across Colorado.

Governor Polis Issues Executive Order to Memorialize Verbal Disaster Declaration that Provided Resources for Recent Pearl Fire

DENVER - Today, Governor Polis issued an Executive Order to memorialize the September 16 verbal declaration of disaster emergency to provide support and resources in response to the Pearl Fire in Larimer County. The Executive Order also memorializes the Governor’s verbal authorization to employ unarmed Colorado National Guard members, if needed, to coordinate fire suppression response, consequence management, mitigation, and recovery efforts. As of September 30, 2024, the fire was 95% contained and burned 128 acres. No structures were destroyed during the fire.
