State to Provide COVID-19 Testing for Legislative Session

Monday, February 22, 2021

DENVER - As the legislature comes back into session, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment will provide Abbot Binax rapid tests and testing will be administered by medical professionals for the legislative session.

COVID-19 testing will be available to members of the state legislature, staff, members of the media, and the members of the public who are planning to attend the session in-person. Testing will be conducted twice weekly -- on Tuesdays and Thursdays -- during the 2021 legislative session. While testing is not mandatory to visit the Capitol, it is strongly encouraged.

Remote participation is strongly recommended as it is the safest option for Coloradans.

Members of the public can sign up to participate remotely on the General Assembly's website.

WHEN: Tuesdays and Thursdays, every week through the duration of the session, from 7:30am-10:30am*

WHERE: State Services Building, 1525 Sherman, Rooms 103 & 104

*Additional testing will be provided throughout the legislative session on days where there are expected to be heavily attended committee hearings.
