Surgical Assistants and Surgical Technologists 

Definitions

• Original License:  You are applying for an original Colorado license.
• Renew:  You currently hold a Colorado license and are in a renewal period.
• Reinstate:  Your Colorado license has expired and you wish to reinstate the license. 

Forms

License Expiration Grace Period for New Applicants. All new applicants who are issued a registration within 120 days of the upcoming renewal expiration date will be issued a registration with the subsequent expiration date. For example, registrations issued between December 1, 2012 and March 31, 2013 will reflect a registration expiration date of March 31, 2014. Registrations issued prior to December 1, 2012 will reflect an expiration date of March 31, 2013 and must renew in the upcoming renewal period.

License Renewal Information. All Colorado Surgical Assistant and Surgical Technologist registrations expire on March 31 each year and must be renewed to continue practicing.
