** Important Information Concerning Licensed Psychiatric Technicians (LPT) Applications and Exams.
As part of the application process, and in accordance with Board rules, the Office of Licensing will require that applicants for LPT licensure submit an official transcript in a sealed envelope with their application for licensure. Application deadline and examination dates are listed below. Applications received after the deadline will be processed and scheduled for the next available exam.

License Expiration Grace Period for New Applicants. All new applicants who are issued a license within 120 days of the upcoming renewal expiration date will be issued a license with the subsequent expiration date. For example, licenses issued between December 1, 2012 and March 31, 2013 will reflect a license expiration date of March 31, 2015. Licenses issued prior to December 1, 2012 will reflect an expiration date of March 31, 2013 and must renew in the upcoming renewal period.
License Renewal Information. All Psychiatric Technician licenses expire on March 31 of odd-numbered years and must be renewed to continue practicing.
