• Original License:  You are applying for an original Colorado license.
• Reinstate:  Your Colorado license has expired and you wish to reinstate the license.

Forms

License Expiration Grace Period for New Applicants. All new applicants who are issued a license within 120 days of the upcoming renewal expiration date will be issued a license with the subsequent expiration date. For example, licenses issued between November 1, 2012, and February 28, 2013, will reflect a license expiration date of February 28, 2014. Licenses issued prior to November 1, 2012, will reflect an expiration date of February 28, 2013, and must renew in the upcoming renewal period.

License Renewal Information. All Private Investigator licenses expire on February 28 each year and must be renewed to continue practicing.
