Public Accounting Firms 

Definitions

• Original Registration. You are applying for an original Colorado Public Accounting Firm registration. Applicants must apply through the NASBA website.
• Renew. You currently hold a Colorado registration and are in a renewal period.
• Reinstate. Your Colorado registration has expired and you wish to reinstate the registration.

Forms

License Expiration Grace Period for New Applicants. All applicants who are issued a registration within 120 days of the upcoming renewal expiration date will be issued a registration with the subsequent expiration date. For example, a registration issued between May 1, 2014 and August 31, 2014 will reflect a registration expiration date of August 31, 2017. A registration issued prior to May 1, 2014 will reflect an expiration date of August 31, 2014 and must renew in the upcoming renewal period.

License Renewal Information. All Colorado Certified Public Accountant certificates expire on November 30 of odd-numbered years and must be renewed to continue practicing.
