Ad Valorem, licensed and certified appraisers are required to complete 42 hours of continuing education within the three-year license cycle annually. This includes the 7-Hour USPAP Update Course which is taken every other year and taught by an AQB certified instructor.
The Board conducts two different CE audits each year: the 7-Hour USPAP Audit and the 42-Hour Continuing Education Audit. Appraisers renewing their license/certification will be subject to the 7-Hour USPAP Audit and may be also selected for the 42-Hour CE Audit. If selected, you will need to provide completion certificates for the courses completed within the previous three year license cycle.
Appraisers MUST take their continuing education from Board approved providers only. Providers must meet specific standards in order to be approved by the Board.
