Anyone interested in working with members of the public helping them to buy or sell real property in Colorado must complete a minimum of 168 hours of pre-licensing education. Education must be received through either a nationally accredited community college or university OR a school approved by the Colorado Department of Private and Occupational Schools (DPOS).
The Colorado Real Estate Commission and the Division of Real Estate have a list of mandatory courses that each education provider must follow when offering pre-licensing education. The breakdown of what courses and how many hours of each is as follows:
