All Colorado appraisers must complete 42 hours of continuation education in the three year period prior to the expiration of their licence. This must include at least 7 hours of USPAP update taken every other year and taught by an AQB certified Instructor. Licensees must maintain certificates of completion for a minimum of four years. Do not send certificates of completion to the Division unless requested to do so. Continuing education can not be used to satisfy qualifying education requirements for licensure.

The Division of Real Estate maintains and updates a list of educational courses that have been approved by the Board of Real Estate Appraisers for continuing education. Courses listed on the PDF document that can be counted toward continuing education requirements will have "CE" noted in the column next to the course expiration date. Please consult the list when looking for courses to take. If the course you are currently taking is not on the list, check with your course provider to see if it has been approved by another organization. Not every approved course is listed.
