Rules and Regulations

Program Rules are adopted by the Director following specific noticing requirements and hearings and have the force of law. When the Director has proposed a rule, a hearing must be held. Visit our Rulemaking Notices web page for current information on rulemaking.

This online version of these rules is the most current version available. However, this is not the official version. For official publication of these and all State of Colorado regulations, please consult the Code of Colorado Regulations or contact the Weil Publishing Co., Inc. at PO Box 1990, Augusta, ME 04332-1190, 1-800-877-WEIL(9345).

Policies

Program Policies are adopted by the Director as guidelines to be used for the Program. Policies are unlike statutes or rules in that they are not law. There is no requirement that the Program hold hearings before approving a proposed policy. Generally, policies are approved by the Director for use by Healthcare Professions Profiling Program staff to facilitate the day-to-day running of the Program and to provide guidance to licensees regarding the Program's position on various subjects.
