Out-of-State Wholesale Distributers of Prescription Drugs (WHO) 


Definitions

  • Renew:  You currently hold a Colorado license and are in a renewal period.
  • Reinstate:  Your Colorado license has expired and you wish to reinstate the license. 

 

If you are not currently licensed in Colorado, use the appropriate Wholesaler application as outlined below:

  • In-State Wholesalers (WHI): Any person or entity located in Colorado that engages in the wholesale distribution of prescription drugs. This includes, but is not limited to the following: repackagers, own-label distributors, private-label distributors, jobbers, brokers, warehouses, manufacturers' exclusive distributors, authorized distributors of record, drug wholesalers or distributors, independent wholesale drug traders, and specialty wholesale distributors.
     
  • Out-of-State Wholesalers (WHO): Any person or entity located outside of Colorado that engages in the wholesale distribution of prescription drugs into the state of Colorado. This includes, but is not limited to the following: repackagers, own-label distributors, private-label distributors, jobbers, brokers, warehouses, manufacturers' exclusive distributors, authorized distributors of record, drug wholesalers or distributors, independent wholesale drug traders, and specialty wholesale distributors.

* NOTE: You must use the same application for new registrations and changes to existing registrations
(i.e. transfer of ownership, business location or name change, or change of designated representative / consultant pharmacist / pharmacist manager).

License Expiration Grace Period for New Applicants. All new applicants who are issued a registration within 120 days of the upcoming renewal expiration date will be issued a license with the subsequent expiration date.

License Renewal Information. All In-State Wholesaler registrations expire on October 31 of even-numbered years and must be renewed to continue operating.
