Natural Gas Pipeline Safety Seminar


2014 Seminar

In conjunction with the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration’s (PHMSA) Training and Qualifications (TQ) group, the Colorado PUC Pipeline Safety Section hosts an educational seminar every two years. The goal of this Seminar is to provide topical review and discussion of state and Federal pipeline safety regulations for personnel involved in the pipeline / gas utility industries.  The Seminar material is structured around PHMSA pipeline safety regulations 49 CFR Part 192, Colorado PUC pipeline safety regulations 4 CCR 723-4, current initiatives in federal/state legislation/regulation affecting pipeline safety, and other relevant technical presentations.

The 2014 PHMSA / PUC-Gas Pipeline Safety Seminar was held February 11-13, 2014 at the Double Tree Colorado Springs Hotel.  2014 Seminar presentation material may be downloaded in PDF format via the following links:

Additional training opportunities are available through industry organizations such as the ASME.   ASME codes, safety issues and industry technical challenges will be discussed during the ASME code courses tailored specifically for engineers and project managers involved in the design, operation, maintenance and integrity assurance of pipeline system in Denver April 14-18, 2014.
