Connect for Health Colorado is Colorado's health benefit exchange. It is not a state agency, but a separate, non-profit entity established by Senate Bill 200 in 2011. The Division of Insurance does not regulate Connect for Health Colorado, but regulates the plans and health insurance carriers offered through the exchange. Visit www.connectforhealthco.com or call 1-855-752-6749 for more information or to start shopping.
Connect for Health Colorado is a new insurance marketplace for individuals, families and small businesses across the state. It is the only place where Coloradoans can access financial assistance to help with the cost of health insurance. This one-stop online marketplace includes a customer support network of Customer Service Representatives, Health Coverage Guides and licensed brokers to help Coloradoans find the best health plan for their needs.
Connect for Health Colorado has a board of directors appointed by the governor and the state legislature, and is governed by a special subcommittee of the state legislature. The Division of Insurance has reviewed the rates for plans offered in this marketplace, and also ensured that the health plans are solvent, so that claims can be paid. The Division plays an active role advising Connect for Health Colorado.
