Medicare is expanding their competitive bidding program to more areas of the country. This program changes the amount Medicare pays for certain durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies (DMEPOS) and makes changes to which suppliers Medicare will pay to supply these items to you.
Colorado areas that will be affected are Aurora, Broomfield, Colorado Springs, and Denver.
Learn where to get your medical equipment and supplies, what to do if you travel to one of the areas included in this program, or what to do if you are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan. Medicare has created a simple document to help you understand how the new program works.
