Colorado appraisers, including licensed Ad Valorem appraisers, must complete 42 hours of continuing education, (CE) each three year license period. This includes the 7-Hour National USPAP Update Course (or an equivalent), which must be completed once every other year and must be taught by an AQB certified instructor.
The Division of Real Estate maintains and updates a list of educational courses that have been approved by the Board of Real Estate Appraisers for continuing education.
Courses that can be credited toward continuing education requirements will have “CE” in the column next to the course expiration date. If you are interested in a course that is not on the list, check with the course provider to verify that it has been approved by another organization. It is recommended you get proof of course approval from the course provider. Not every approved course is on the list maintained by the Division of Real Estate.
