Board of Real Estate Appraisers

Board members are appointed by the Governor, and confirmed by the State Senate. Board members serve staggered three year terms. Beginning July 1, 1997 the composition of the Board is prescribed by law as three practicing appraisers, an elected county assessor, a banker with real estate lending experience, and two public members who may not be appraisers, bankers or assessors.
